Shenandoah Conservatory's acclaimed faculty ensemble  presented a program which included works by Beethoven and Mozart for wind instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn) along with piano accompaniment.

A Romantic Afternoon

Sunday, June 2nd @ 4 pm

Julian Schwarz (cello) and Marika Bournake (piano). Charismatic and captivating duo Julian Schwarz and Marika Bournaki launched a successful duo career after each had already achieved widespread acclaim in their fields.  Julian has been heralded from a young age as a cellist destined to rank among the greatest of the 21st century.  Canadian pianist Marika is a prize-winning pianist of unparalleled technical and musical craft.

An Evening with Gershwin

Saturday, September 7th @ 6pm

Internationally-acclaimed pianist Thomas Pandolfi performed "An Evening with Gershwin."  Trained at Juillard and famous for his interpretation of Gershwin, Hamlisch and Bernstein, Pandolfi intersperses classical pieces with works of contemporary composers. This was a gala benefit for the Middleburg Concert Foundation, held in the ballroom of Elysian Fields, a private estate located on Rock Hill Mill Road, and included cocktails and dinner.

The Shenandoah University Chorale

A Christmas Spectacular

Saturday, December 14 @ 4 pm

The Shenandoah University Conservatory Chorale under the direction of Matt Oltman, director emeritus of the famous Chanticler Chorale performed a program of classical and contemporary Christmas favorites.  The 26-member Chorale includes voices in all ranges and will be accompanied by renowned organist Dr. Dudley Oakes. This not-to-be-missed concert set the tone for the 2019 Christmas season.
